FFXIV Gil Tips

FFXIV Gil is the preferred currency among many players. It is required for gearing, end-game equipment acquisition, glamour items purchase, housing purchases, etc.

Gil can be earned in several ways in Final Fantasy XIV, but the fastest methods typically involve crafting and gathering. This article will present both crafting and gathering techniques as well as combat-oriented ones.

Gathering

Players in Final Fantasy XIV can earn Gil in various ways. Some ways may only provide small side earnings (e.g. the rewards given from Duty Roulettes or FATE completion), while other are much larger sources.

Gathering classes can make a healthy profit by gathering materials for sale on the Market Board. This method is especially lucrative around major patches where new nodes and items increase prices on the market.

Day trading can also be a useful method of making gil in FFXIV, which involves searching the Market Book for items at underpriced levels and then selling them to players on your server. While day trading requires some risk and finesse, if done right it could result in significant profits; to maximize returns find items with few existing sellers so as to reduce competition and undercutting; players can also sell these items via PVPBank to ensure you receive top dollar for them!

Crafting

Making Gil in Final Fantasy XIV often involves crafting and gathering, but there are ways of earning decent amounts without leveling those skills. Rhigitar provides some examples in his video below.

One such form is day trading, which provides an easy and quick way to generate quick f14 gil. By scanning market boards for items with high profit potential in your home world that cost little but sell for a high price elsewhere on Earth, day traders can quickly make some extra income. Hunting boards and daily roulettes also can generate some fast money-making opportunities.

Market Board sales can also be an excellent way of making a quick profit, such as selling gear, reagents or minions you have created at a good price to other players. Just be sure to keep an eye on prices regularly so as not to lose gil by overpricing yourself or being too hasty about selling stuff right away - patience will pay off more in terms of undercutting competition than trying to sell your stuff off immediately!

Combat

Combat classes in Final Fantasy XIV tend to focus a great deal of their time questing for Gil. Although this can yield the highest rewards in-game, there are other means of earning Gil.

Treasure Maps can be an excellent source of gil, particularly the later ones with the chance of rewarding you with Tomestones and Materia. Once completed, these treasure maps can be sold on the market board for a small profit or joined into groups using Free Companies or Party Finders in order to complete them more quickly - increasing your odds of acquiring rare crafting materials or access to higher-tier content areas!

Gil-earners include Dungeon and Trial roulettes, which offer Tank or Healer In Need opportunities; as well as the Challenge Log; an endgame series of challenges offering company seals, experience points and some Gil. Though not as straightforward or consistent, these activities should remain on your weekly to-do list.

Retainers

Retainers in Final Fantasy XIV can be an excellent source of in-game currency. By offering items for sale on the Market Board and completing Quick Ventures, Retainers provide a steady source of funds that can be converted into real world money or used towards exploring. Retainers may be sent on 18-hour Exploration Journeys in search of weapons and gear which can then be sold, desynthesized into crafting parts, or turned in for seals to purchase various in-game items.

Players can unlock retainers by completing the main scenario quest and speaking to any Retainer Vocate located in any major city or housing ward. Each retainer offers 175 item slots and can store gil in their bank. To maximize potential, players should hire Miners and Botanists first before considering Crafting classes, Battle classes and Fishers; making regular updates of prices to take advantage of market fluctuations as well as updates to patches; materials will sell much faster immediately following any updates to patches.
